We specialize in commercial construction projects, serving clients in the Pacific Northwest. Our focus is on challenging, high-end commercial spaces that require the dedicated focus of a tenured construction professional.  

DHC Contracting is a new venture led by long-time commercial construction leader, Doug Bardin.  Doug has worked in the construction industry since he graduated from West Point as an Army Engineer Officer.  He has completed projects internationally and locally; most recently in 2016 moving back to Seattle to help open a local office for a large national general contractor.  After building relationships with key trade partners, architects and project stakeholders over the past decade, DHC is uniquely positioned to get the exact right team on-board for each project pursued.

After over 12 years of experience at a large general contractor, it became evident that something is missing in the commercial construction industry.  For many businesses, the investment in construction is a major turning point in the growth of an office, a team or an organization.  This experience should not be without celebration and your project should not be delivered without a significant degree of hospitality.  Each project has direct involvement from a DHC Principal, providing a hands-on communication and management style that allows our clients to rest assured that their project is in good hands.  From kickoff events through project completion celebrations, the project delivery experience with DHC Contracting builds relationships that will grow alongside your beautiful new space.

In an address to the Corps of Cadets at West Point in May of 1962 General Douglas MacArthur gave what has become a rallying cry for many of our military women and men across the globe:

"Duty, Honor, Country: Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying points: to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn."
